Brand Design, Art Direction, UX/UI, Frontend Implementation, 3D

Industry

3D, B2C, Web3

Art Unchained brand identity and UX design project became a bridge between two worlds — the tangible Web2 and the decentralized Web3. The challenge was to preserve the familiar clarity of traditional design while integrating it into a blockchain-based environment. The result is a full-scale digital ecosystem that unites identity, interface, and 3D design into one adaptive framework.

Art Unchained is a studio that creates 3D spaces, objects, and architectural environments for the metaverse — a place where art, technology, and blockchain coexist. When the founders came to me, they wanted a brand that would merge the digital and physical, where each 3D form could live both as an artwork and as a functional space within virtual reality.

Two-page spread from the 'Art Unchained' brand guidelines. The left page showcases tints and shades of the brand's color palette, including hex codes for 'Asphalt,' 'Dark Pine Green,' and 'Emerald' hues. The right page provides instructions on logotype stacking, with examples of horizontal and vertical layouts of the 'Art Unchained' logo, emphasizing proper alignment, safety margins, and usage guidelines. A-letter

Letter “A” representing creation and structural clarity. Designed as a precise architectural form, every line and angle follows proportion.

Chain

The chain reflects the brand’s technological foundation. Built on symmetry and modular rhythm, it embodies the logic of blockchain.

Turtle

The turtle is rooted in the client’s personal symbolism, reminding that true innovation respects time and persistence.

The logo follows a strict geometric logic, fitting simultaneously into a square and a hexagon. This duality ensures perfect adaptability across print, 3D, and screen formats. Every element aligns with a unified grid, preserving visual balance in any context.

The mission of Art Unchained is to unite art, architecture, and technology — and give them new form in the metaverse. That idea became the core of the brand’s visual system, translated into every layer of design.

Creation

Reflects the brand’s ability to generate new spaces, architectures, and environments.

Curation

Expresses the brand’s curatorial role—the ability to manage the perception of art in digital space.

Connection

Represents the social layer which connects users and digital platforms in an ecosystem.

The brand revolves around two primary colors — deep ocean green and rich black — chosen for their resonance within Web3 culture.

A hand-drawn, infinitely scalable pattern became a metaphor for the blend of organic and digital worlds.

The website was designed as a clear, structured journey for different audiences — artists, partners, and clients. Each page had a purpose: to present work, explain the mission, and connect. Adaptive typography, a modular grid, and balanced contrast ensure the interface feels both aesthetic and efficient.

The Art Unchained’s mascot (Arty) was born as an emotional counterbalance to the brand’s precision and technological seriousness. It represents playfulness, lightness, and a subtle sense of irony that Art Unchained shares with its community.

Not every brand needs a mascot. If a brand is built on logic and distance, a mascot can distract. But when a brand speaks to people, not at them, the mascot becomes its voice.

The turtle wears a playful expression and has various art supplies, like paintbrushes and pencils, atop its head. Surrounding the turtle are stylized, energetic words that read "REVOLUTIONIZE ART, THINK OUTSIDE FRAMES." The background is black, providing contrast to the vibrant colors of the illustration, with the logo "ART UNCHAINED" at the bottom. Designnina Lab — a full-cycle design web3 service

The 3D version of Arty was developed as a real metaverse entity. The process included sculpting, retopology, rigging, and hand-texturing.

The main challenge was to maintain low-poly efficiency while keeping motion fluid and expressive in real time.

The model was optimized for WebGL with clean UV maps and adaptive materials.

Arty became more than decoration — it’s a functional communication tool, appearing in virtual galleries, advertising scenes, and interactive brand spaces.

Acknowledgments
